Stones and thistles and creepers and thorns
Mark my way through the forest each day that’s
Dark from the branches and leaves above my head
And just the half-moon and the stars that I’ve met
To let my see your hand there waiting for me
At the other end of the path.
Your open arms to say welcome again,
Ready to hug me and hold me again,
To see me as I am and always was.
And that what counts does remain,
Even if I don’t look the same this time.
And when I finally reached your hand,
I can see the beauty of the land
And the dark forest turning bright and green:
Hello Sun, hello Sister, my dear!
Let me see through your eyes,
So deep and profound,
What I’ve missed the past years
And finally have found.
Let me hold you this time
And lay your hand in mine.
Let us dance through the light,
Take my hand
And we’ll walk side by side.
See the forest enlightened and gold,
Moss on the path and flowers around.
Seers and seekers, lost and found,
Two warriors at heart deep down,
And maybe together
We’ll find our way home.
