it isn’t Khalil Mack.

Cornerback Richard Sherman has changed teams since tearing his Achilles while with the Seahawks last season and was not cleared to practice with his new club this offseason.

That has changed. Sherman and 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan each said on Tuesday that Sherman has been given the green light to do individual drills at the team’s minicamp this week. That’s not full clearance Menelik Watson Jersey , obviously, but it puts Sherman, who tore his right Achilles and also had surgery on the left one this offseason Daeshon Hall Jersey , well on the way for that as long as the uptick in work doesn’t lead to any setbacks.

Sherman said, via Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, that he’s also on track to be ready for the start of his first training camp as a member of the Niners.

Sherman is expected to join Ahkello Witherspoon T. J. Carrie Jersey , K'Waun Williams and possibly Jimmie Ward at corner in Santa Clara this year.

The Raiders will get a defensive player on the practice field for the first time at this summer’s training camp, but it isn’t Khalil Mack.

Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the team has activated defensive tackle P.J. Hall from the physically unable to perform list. Hall, who was a second-round pick this April Anthony Castonzo Jersey , was dealing with a pectoral strain.

Hall was a two-time FCS All-American while at Sam Houston State and caught the eye of NFL scouts due to his ability to disrupt offenses in both phases of the game. He had 43.5 tackles for loss and 19 sacks over his final two college seasons and also showed a knack for blocking kicks.

It’s a big jump from FCS to the NFL, obviously, but the Raiders have room for contributors all over their defense and that should give Hall every chance to show he can remain productive against a higher level of competition.
